Japanese Strawberries Hokowase
Succulent and sweet.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Sweet tasting, medium to large, wedge shaped strawberries. Acid free and so sweet enough to be eaten before the red fruit stage. Japanese Strawberries are not grown commercially because they are too soft and would be hard to pack. But they are perfect for the home gardener who can eat them straight from the plant. And they have the most amazing taste. Grows in cool and warm climates.
The taste of home grown strawberries is so much sweeter than the ones from the supermarket, they are simply irresistible.
Strawberries should be planted in to prepared soil. We recommend digging through some mulch and or well rotted manure prior to planting. Strawberries are easy and rewarding to grow.
Strawberries flourish in well drained, fertile soils and need at least six hours sun a day to fruit well. It is a good idea to mulch your Strawberries to keep the area free of weeds and lock in the moisture. You should also protect your Strawberries from slugs, snails and birds. Fertilise well for best fruits.
Strawberries grow well in pots, vegetable gardens or ornamental beds.
