Attractive, ivory petals with a rose pink cup. A gorgeous, mid season bloom.
Pink Daffodils are highly decorative, with broad, pale petals and eye catching coronas in shades from salmon to red. These showy Daffodils are stars in the garden. Daffodil breeders aim to get as close to red as possible in much of their breeding. So along the way there is created a spectacular array of pink shades. In many cases the colour fades or increases as the blooms mature.
Daffodils are easy, they like plenty of sun and a well drained soil. Plant as many as space permits!
It is a good idea to prepare your soil by digging through some well rotted manure a few weeks prior to planting. This will improve drainage and add nutrients to the soil, giving your Pink Daffodils a good start.
Plant Pink Daffodil bulbs three times as deep as the bulb is high with the pointy end up. The depth will protect them from heat and soil erosion and provide strength for the stem. Space your Pink Daffodils 10-20cm apart, more if you are leaving the bulbs in to naturalise.
Once the flowering has finished you can remove the flower stem. Allow the foliage to remain until it has yellowed. The Daffodil foliage gathers energy and nutrients at this time for next years blooms. Keep relatively moist during this time and add a little general purpose fertiliser. Daffodils like Potash and slow release brands which are low in nitrogen (this encourages more flowers and less foliage).
