The long, narrow, bronze leaves combine with the copious feathery flowers for a beautiful display. Pennisetum 'Rubrum' or Red Fountain Grass is excellent as part of a border, as a specimen or in a pot.

Pennisetum 'Rubrum' is hardy and tough with a soft, feminine appeal. Quick to grow it will spread to just over a metre. Requires a moderately fertile, well drained soil. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low.

Pennisetum is well suited for mass planting and landscaping. This is a non-invasive variety.
