Species Lilies Scarlet Delight

The recurved petals have a delicate white border, framing the scarlet to magenta red colouring. The petals are textured with deeper red freckles. This is a strong Lily with good disease resistance.

Lilium 'Scarlet Delight' is a hybrid of the Japanese Lily, Uchida. The flowers of Lilium 'Scarlet Delight' open from mid summer. Japanese Liles also make good cut flowers with up to 12 flowers on a stem.

Plant the bulbs of Japanese Lilies in full sun to part shade in a moist, well drained soil. Leave them in the ground to naturalise and to multiply. A humus rich soil that is neutral to acid is ideal. Add plenty of fertiliser each spring and summer to keep them blooming at their best.
