Primula English Cowslip
Much loved and easily pleased.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Primulas are something special. When in flower, the golden blooms are delicate, fragrant and eye catching. The mid green, textured foliage grows up to 20cm long.
English Cowslip is an excellent companion for spring flowering bulbs and relatively easy to grow, in fact, they are more likely to be killed with kindness than neglect.
Place English Cowslip in a position that is sheltered from the hot afternoon sun and where they won't be too wet over winter. In the garden, plant into humus rich, moist, well drained soil. In pots use a good quality, loam or peat based potting mix. Ensure there is good air flow around the plants.
Primula veris grows well in pots or can be planted in beds or rockeries. If the plants get leggy, lift and replant with the stems a little deeper. In pots, protect the stems from becoming too moist with a sprinkle of gravel around the stem.
