In fact, the longer Liliums have to establish the blooms they produce. Choose a humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny location. They appreciate afternoon shade, especially in warmer climates.

Keep Lilies moist while in growth and fertilise at the start of the season and again as the flowers are finishing. Mulch over the summer to help maintain the moisture levels in the soil.
