Butter yellow petals with a bright red flash.
An Oriental Triumph Lily. That is a cross between an Oriental Lily and a Christmas or Trumpet Lily. They are also known as Orienpet Lilies. The blooms are large and look wonderful in the garden as well as making excellent cut flowers.
Matisse was a pioneer in modern art. His work broke with convention and took colour to a whole new level. This avant garden Lilium collection named in his honour pays homage to his fondness for eccentric colour.
The unusual combinations, spotting and patterns on these Lilies are striking. We hope they inspire you to create a masterpiece your garden.
Plant Lilies in a permanent position in the garden, the longer they have to establish the more flowers they will bear. Ensure you fertilise your Lilies well, this will ensure the best blooms.
Simply plant, your Lilies, fertilise and enjoy. Leave them in the ground to establish and they will bring you years of joy. In fact, the longer Lilies have to establish the blooms they produce. Choose a humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny location. They will appreciated afternoon shade in warmer climates.
