Daphne 'Star White'

Clusters of lemon scented, ivory flowers with glossy, evergreen foliage. Daphne ‘Star White’ grows well in pots, where you can move the plants around to enjoy the fragrance.

Daphne ‘Star White’ is a hardier cultivar with more vigour than the standard white Daphnes.

Daphne are tidy, evergreen bushes that like a morning sun position with shade from the hot afternoon rays. The gorgeous flowers open from winter to spring. The lovely scent wafts through your garden, and when picked will fill your home with perfume.

Plant Daphne in humus rich, moist, well drained soil. Space 50-100cm apart, remember they are slow growing so a closer planting will provide a more immediate effect. Ensure their roots are kept cool. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low. Adding some mulch in summer will help with water retention. Daphne's are suitable for growing in pots.
