Pampas Grass 'Sunningdale Silver'

This impressive ornamental grass is prized for its large, shimmering silvery-white flower plumes that emerge from late summer into autumn. Held high above broad, arching foliage, the feathery plumes catch the light beautifully and sway gracefully in the breeze, creating movement and drama in the landscape.

Its bold, architectural form makes it an outstanding feature plant for large borders, screening, specimen planting and naturalistic garden designs. The foliage forms a substantial clump, providing year-round texture and structure even when not in flower.

Thriving in a sunny position and a wide range of well-drained soils, it is robust, adaptable and tolerant of coastal conditions once established. The striking flower plumes are also valuable for cutting and drying, adding long-lasting beauty indoors.

Ideal for creating height and impact, it pairs beautifully with shrubs, perennials and other ornamental grasses. Combining elegant foliage, spectacular flowering and a commanding presence, it remains one of the most dramatic and rewarding grasses for spacious garden settings.
