- Remove spent flower heads regularly, to encourage more blooms – cut them right back at the base. Or, in summer, cut back hard when the first flowering wains, give it an all over trim, fertilise then water in to encourage a second flush. Both ways have their advantages, one is quick and easy the other precise but light work – it depends how often you can get out into the garden.
- Notes
- Plant in rockeries, beds, borders or en masse. Flowers great for picking. An excellent option to combination plant with tulips or other spring bulbs. A 10-20cm container is the ideal size for one plant.
