- Depth & Spacing
- Plant at the same depth as in the pot with the roots spread evenly below the soil surface. Don’t put in too large a pot, they are happier being a bit pot bound, and don’t have a large root system, if put in a large pot they may struggle.

- Use a good quality cactus/succulent mix. You could also use an orchid mix. Or a blend of both.

- Filtered light, protect from hot afternoon sun. Bright, indirect light is ideal. They can grow well in offices with fluro lights, for 8-10 hours a day.

- Water well, then allow the pot to dry out before watering again. They do not like to sit in water. They will cope with a fair amount of neglect, and you will know you have forgotten about them as they shrivel and turn brown/red, but don’t despair, they will quickly pep up when you apologise and add a good dose of water. More water needed spring/summer and winter requires less care. They can be sensitive to the chemicals in tap water, so ideally let the water sit out overnight, or use filtered/distilled water.
