- Depth & Spacing
- Plant at the same level as in the pot with the roots spread evenly below the soil surface. Space plants 20-50cm apart, see individual labels. They can be grouped pretty closely in pots as they are upright.

- Well drained, humus rich soil. Apply an organic mulch around the roots, particularly in warmer climates once the foliage appears, to help with water retention and to add nutrients.

- Water in to establish, this can take up to four weeks of regular watering. Keep moist in active growth. Keep relatively dry during dormancy. They become dry tolerant as they establish.
- Fertiliser
- Liquid feed monthly when in growth. Or apply a general purpose fertiliser at planting time, then every two to three months in active growth for best blooms – they flower abundantly so need a steady supply of fertiliser. This is especially true in pots where nutrients are limited.

- Once established they are generally trouble free. Pull out any spent blooms and divide as necessary. Ideally pull rather than pick the flower stems, this will encourage even more to grow. Cutting the stems leaves them open to disease.
- Notes
- Keep protected from snails! Dig and divide in autumn as they become overcrowded. Suitable for pots or gardens.
