Achillea ‘Christine’s Pink’ boasts upright stems of long lasting flowers. The soft, mauve-pink blooms transform through the season, maturing almost to cream.
Achillea ‘Christine’s Pink’ is tough, has good dry tolerance, doesn’t need a lot of fuss and has a long flowering season.
Achillea ‘Christine’s Pink’ is ideal for cottage and flower gardens or even in pots. The soft foliage is dark green and grows along the stems.
In good soil Achillea ‘Christine’s Pink’ will form clumps at a steady pace. You can dig and divide every three years or so. Plant in full sun and keep moist in active growth.
Achillea is commonly known as Sneezewort or Yarrow. The botanical name is Achillea ptarmica. Achillea is named for the Greek mythological hero who found healing qualities in plants. Ptarmica is from the Greek ptario which means to sneeze. When the foliage is crushed it has a fragrance which can cause sneezing. In fact, dried leaves were used to make sneezing powder.
