Geum 'Norgate's Flame'
Absolutely garden worthy.
In stock

Amazing Australian breeding from legendary plantsperson, Dennis Norgate. This goer of a Geum flowers freely from early spring an can go right through to Christmas, even beyond.
The gorgeous, golden yellow blooms have orange-red kisses and a gentle wave to the petals. The flowers are followed by decorative, silky seed heads.
Geums are highly valued, low growing ground covers or fillers with plenty of flowers. They establish quickly and need little in the way of care. The colourful flowers will adorn your beds with plenty left over to fill your vases.
Geums are relatively shade tolerant and grow best in morning sun. They are easily woven through beds and borders or beneath deciduous trees. Tough, hardy and easy care!
Plant Geums in well drained, humus rich soil. Water well to establish, plants take around four weeks to establish and should be watered every other day during this time. Once established they are dry tolerant. Remove spent flower heads (back to the previous join of the branching stems) to encourage more blooms during the growing season, late in the season allow the seed heads to form for autumn/winter value.
