Regal Lily

This timeless classic is hard to find and easy to grow.

A vigorous Lilium with strong stems that can stretch up to 2m tall, bearing up to 25 stunning flowers. The statuesque bouquet is exquisitely fragrant, especially on a warm summer’s night.

The large, trumpet blooms have a vibrant pink blush on their reverse, clear white colouring and a heart of gold. The narrow, mid green leaves have a nice gloss and grow along the stem.

Lilium regale holds the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, so you know it has been put through its paces.

Regal Lilies are hardy and the flowers open from midsummer, lasting well in both gardens and vases.

Simply plant, your Regal Liliums, fertilise and enjoy. Leave them in the ground to establish and they will bring you years of joy. Choose a humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny location – half a day of sun is perfect. Liliums appreciate afternoon shade, especially in warmer climates.

Water in, and keep moist during active growth. It is a good idea to add a little fertiliser and some mulch in autumn and summer, as the bulbs are coming and going.
