Deepest, purple-red flowers with even deeper spots. In fact, the colour is so deep, the spots almost blend in. A real stunner, each bloom is up to 15cm across.
Have some fun in your garden, the deep colouring of Lily ‘Night Flyer’ is stunning in combination with any bright colour. They are also tough as nails with bountiful blooms.
Tiger Lilies are hardy cultivars with colourful flowers that open from midsummer and last well in both gardens and vases. In creating these lilies, breeders have taken beloved heritage varieties and made them better, stronger and more disease resistant.
Choose humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny location – half a day of sun is perfect. Tiger Lilies appreciate afternoon shade in warmer climates. Water them in, and keep moist during active growth. Adding some fertiliser (they love manure) and mulch in autumn and summer, as the bulbs are coming and going will keep them happy.
Leave your Tiger Lilies in the ground to establish and they will bring you years of joy. You don’t need to lift the bulbs every year, simply divide them as they become overcrowded.
