Achillea ‘Love Parade’ offers amazing summer colour, with soft pink flowers that bloom all season long. The pretty flower clusters grow to 10cm across.
Different to most Achilleas, ‘Love Parade’ has leathery, deep green serrated foliage that is a handsome feature of the plant.
Achillea ‘Love Parade’ has excellent blooms for picking. As an added benefit, cutting or dead heading the flowers will encourage more to form and extend the flowering season.
Achillea 'Love Parade' is ideal for cottage and flower gardens or pots. Achillea 'Love Parade' flowers reliably, even in tough conditions.
Tolerant of poor soils, it will form clumps at a steady pace and will need to be divided every three years or so. Plant in full sun and keep moist in active growth.
Achillea is commonly known as Sneezewort or Yarrow. The botanical name is Achillea ptarmica. Achillea is named for the Greek mythological hero who found healing qualities in plants. Ptarmica is from the Greek ptario which means to sneeze. When the foliage is crushed it has a fragrance which can cause sneezing. In fact, dried leaves were used to make sneezing powder.
