Big and bold.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

A spectacular plant for big gardens. In ideal conditions, the flower stems grow up to three metres tall! A relaxed, informal plant with clusters of wiry stems and plenty of flower power.
Rudbeckia Green Headed Cone Flower is an invaluable tall plant for beds and borders. They flower and flower and flower all with very little care. Each bloom is 8-12cm across. After the petals fall, the cone shaped seed heads remain attractive into autumn and winter offering excellent and lasting value.
Try adding these yellow flowers to complement blue and purple Salvias or Echinacea. The blooms of Rudbeckia even last well in a vase.
The deep green foliage is finely divided leaves and are covered with small hairs.
Plant in full sun to light shade. Green Headed Cone Flowers need at least six hours of sun a day to flower at their best. Plant into moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish and then only if rainfall is low. Divide if they outgrow their space. Ensure there is good air flow to avoid powdery mildew. Plant where it is protected from strong winds.
We recommend taking the time to dead head regularly as it will increase the bloom time.
