Lovely lavender plumes to create movement and show in the garden for an impressive amount of time. The flowers of Veronicastrum 'Lavendelturm' open from late spring right into autumn. That makes for fantastic value.
Veronicastrum 'Lavendelturm' is a large growing perennial that stretches up to two metres when it is in flower. The dark green leaves mass beneath the flowers forming a lush base.
The erect flower stems of Veronicastrums are ideal for architectural interest in the garden. They look sensational planted with grasses, or in a cottage setting.
The flowers are similar to Veronicas which is where they get their botanical name, Veronicastrum. The lance like leaves form whorls along the stems.
Grow Veronicastrum in moderately fertile to humus rich, moist, well drained soil. Plant in a full sun to part shade position. Ensure there is good air flow around the plants.
