An orange and chocolate combination to knock your socks off!
Nonstop Mocca Begonias have dazzling flowers backed up with handsome foliage. The delectable, chocolate leaves have soft green veining and grow to form a handsome mound. The fully double blooms are twice as bright against the dark foliage, they are also plentiful and grow up to 10cm across.
As a general growing guide, Begonias are happiest where ferns and orchids grow and like to almost dry out before they are watered again.
Fantastic in pots, hanging baskets, window boxes or gardens. Nonstop Mocca Begonia flower petals are edible and their colours add some nice zing to a salad.
You could treat Nonstop Mocca Begonias as annuals, or, with a bit of extra care you can regrow the tubers. Tuberous Begonias grow best in pots, in climates with cool nights. You can easily grow them in the mild areas of NSW, the Qld Tablelands or in Victoria, Tasmania and south of Perth in WA. They won't tolerate high humidity or direct sunlight, it is best to place your pot where it receives filtered light such as under a tree, shade cloth, a porch or in a shade house.
