Primula Oxlip
Woodland wonders.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.
These primulas are something special. When in flower, the blooms are delicate and eye catching. Up to 12, 2.5cm, soft yellow, open florets open on each stem.
Oxlip Primula holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, so you know it is an easy choice.
Long, elliptic foliage to 20cm forms a lush rosette at ground level below the narrow floral stems.
Primulas are relatively easy to grow, and are more killed with kindness than neglect. Plant in a morning sun position that is sheltered from the hot afternoon rays, and where they won't be too wet over winter dormancy. Plant into humus rich, moist, well drained soil. In pots use a good quality, loam or peat based potting mix and protect the stems with a sprinkle of gravel around them. Ensure there is good air flow around the plants.
