Baby Tears Plant
Happy tears.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

This lush little plant has beautiful texture. The small leaves open in abundance on the rambling and trailing stems, growing to fill their container and then fall gracefully from its edge. A beauty in pots, terrariums or hanging baskets.
Outdoors, in a shady, moist area they can be grown as a handsome ground cover, or a filler for rock gardens or pavers. Fast to grow and in summer they have little white flowers.
Baby Tears is their common name, another alias is Irish Moss, Mind Your Own Business or Angel’s Tears.
SIZE: 5-10cm x 10-15cm
I SEE THE LIGHT: Bright, indirect light is ideal. You should be able to read during the day in their position in the room without turning on a light. If you only have artificial light, they will need about eight hours a day.
WATER NEEDS: Water well, then allow the soil to almost dry out before watering again. They like drainage but a good supply of moisture, or, in warmer weather you can spritz the leaves with water.
I WILL SURVIVE: Plant into a good quality potting mix to ensure good drainage. Ideally use a pot or hanging basket with drainage holes, or prepare to be restrained with your watering.
Use a diluted liquid fertiliser spring/summer, they aren’t overly hungry. Keep them clear of cold draughty positions or they will sulk. Pinch/cut them back in spring/summer to encourage more bushy growth or allow them to ramble freely. More stems will grow as they come in contact with soil. You can divide in spring as required or desired.
