A hard one to say no to, this neat, easy care plant has raindrop shaped glossy, emerald green leaves. It is well branched with blushed red stems.
This larger pot size will create instant impact.
Peperomia make a nice shade, Terrarium or house plant.
Size: 10-30cm x 10-30cm
I SEE THE LIGHT: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Fairly tolerant of low light. You should be able to read during the day in their position in the room without turning on a light. If you only have artificial light, they will need about eight hours a day.
WATER NEEDS: Allow the top soil of the pot to dry out before watering again – when you water ensure you do a thorough job, allowing it to flow through the drainage holes and saturate the whole rootball then allow it to drain before popping it back – you won’t need to water very often. They will forgive you if you miss a watering or two, as they store some moisture in their foliage and you are more likely to kill them with kindness as over watering can lead to rotting.
I WILL SURVIVE: In pots choose a good quality potting mix to ensure they have the drainage they need. Choose an pot with drainage holes, or be promise to be careful with watering - they don’t like to sit in boggy soils. A diluted liquid fertiliser in spring and summer will keep them happy and healthy. You will only need to repot if they are rootbound, every few years.
Keep them clear of cold draughty positions or they will sulk. Gently wipe their leaves to keep them clean of dust.
