Polygala 'Little Bibi'
New in 2022.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

This versatile little evergreen shrub provides lasting colour and structure to the landscape. The main flowering is in the warmer months, with smaller flushes throughout the year. Also successful in containers, it is easy care and rewarding to grow.
The cerise, pea like flowers crowd the foliage nearly year round.
Use Polygala ‘Little Bibi’ as a low hedging plant, in a pot, as a garden filler, on the patio or anywhere you need a bit of colour.
This low maintenance plant is a cinch to grow and care for. Polygala ‘Little Bibi’ is tolerant of coastal conditions, dry tolerant once established and is naturally compact so requires minimal pruning.
Plant in a sunny position for best blooms, in a well drained soil. Water to establish, this takes around four to six weeks of regular watering, until the roots can penetrate the surrounding soil and gain access to the moisture and nutrients. They are quite dry tolerant once they have settled in. While pruning isn’t necessary because it is so naturally well branched and shapely, it responds well to it and a light prune after the main bloom period, followed by a slow release fertiliser will do it the world of good. It is even suitable for topiary.
