Buddleija 'Summer Bird Violet'
Wonderfully fragrant.
In stock (low stock)
Masses of violet blue flowers throughout summer and beyond. Butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects love these blooms.
With all new breeding, these true dwarf plants are well suited to both gardens and pots with their strong, upright growth. The pretty, honey scented flowers (12-14cm) open on gently arching stems throughout the summer and with regular dead heading can last into autumn.
Quick to grow and establish, with flowers from an early age, this is an easy care addition to a garden or pot. A lovely, dense plant with plenty of appeal and a beautiful perfume. The flowers are good for picking and bringing the gorgeous fragrance indoors.
Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low. Suitable for pots, where they should be watered as the mix begins to dry out. Prune back hard early spring to make way for new, bushy growth. In pots ensure you add fertiliser to help them produce more wonderful flowers.
