Long flowering, unusual and beautiful blooms. This is one of the easiest Arisaema to grow. The pale pink spathes have remarkable white stripes which look spectacular when in bloom. The flowers last for quite some time, and are a good size, standing around 30cm tall.

The foliage is large and has a tropical appearance. The leaves stay rolled up when the plant is in bloom, they gradually unfurl as the flower ages.

At full maturity the leaves stand 30-60cm tall and measure the same across. They are tripartite or three lobed, like a clover and a wonderful, lush deep green.

The bulbs are endemic to Western China’s woodland areas. They favour moist, well drained soil with lots of organic matter. Pink Cobra Lily will tolerate more sun in cooler areas, but as it grows on the edge of woodland it prefers filtered light. The bulbs can be slow to appear so if you are an impatient gardener they may not be for you – for us the anticipation is worth it. The flower spike will appear and seem to not be doing anything for quite a while, then as the weather warms it will begin its transformation and you can begin to get excited.
