Vibrant, red flowers to 7cm long open in clusters on arching stems for months during spring.
Glory Pea 'Kaka King' is also known as Lobster Claw or Parrot's Beak for the bright red flowers that resemble both. 'Kaka King' is a select variety that is more hardy and vigorous than the species, which is native to New Zealand.
Grow Glory Pea 'Kaka King' in humus rich, well drained soil. Grow in a sunny position. If planted in the open, it will have a loosely arching shrub like form. Alternately you can train the branches up a trellis, fence or tree. Glory Pea 'Kaka King' also makes a good hanging basket plant.
Glory Pea 'Kaka King' is a vigorous grower and will quickly establish and flower. Prune lightly after blooming to encourage bushy growth.
Protect Glory Pea 'Kaka King' from slugs and snails and thrip.
