Gloriosa Lily 'Rothschildiana'

A fast growing climber which uses the tendrils at the ends of their leaves to cling to their support. The large flowers are just gorgeous. The combination of lipstick red and deep cream on softly ruffled petals is divine. If you can bear to remove them from the garden they also make good cut flowers.

Gloriosa Lilies are a climbing Lily and are simple to grow up a trellis, along a fence, up a tree or shrub, up a wall or even has a house plant. You can grow them in pots or in the garden. Water to establish, then keep moist in active growth. Plant into a humus rich, well drained soil in a to bright light position. In cool climates choose a warm spot in the garden.
