Long narrow leaves that arch rigidly out from upright flowering storks. An abundant showing of mauve shades. The flowers have a sweet fragrance and open from summer through to autumn.
Verbena’s have long been known for their flowering prowess and easy care. They are both heat and cold tolerant plants.
Plant in a sunny location in well drained soil. Water to establish then only if rainfall is low. Fertilise regularly to keep the blooms coming.
Verbena looks good in pots, hanging baskets, rockeries, trailing over walls, in rock gardens or on embankments. The leaves are mid green and deeply serrated.
