A bushy, free flowering, vigorous shrub. The blooms are soft, wine red.
Iochroma ‘Wine Red Bells’ flowers from spring to late summer, and each flower lasts for weeks. The flowers are borne in clusters that hang like elongated bells.
Iochroma ‘Wine Red Bells’ loves warm conditions and protection from frosts. In cooler climates it goes partially dormant but grows vigorously and flowers well as the temperatures increase in spring time. Cut it right back in this part dormancy for a vigorous, bushy shrub.
Iochroma are related to the Brugmansia. They are quick to grow and establish.
