Available in the following states:

The red flowers cluster in bunches on bare branches. Flowers slightly later than the common Edgeworthia. A superior plant to spice up your garden and provide a great talking point.
The flowers open in rounded bunches from green buds winter to spring. The blooms have a strong fragrance – they need to attract pollinators when there are few about. The flowers open on bare, cinnamon coloured branches. Flower heads 5cm across.
The leaves are similar to Frangipani, long and green. Even the branch structure is a little Frangipani like though they are more closely related to the Daphne. The new branches are so elastic, they can be tied in knots!
Plant in humus rich, moist, well drained soil. It is important to give Oriental Paper Bush a good start, as they can be slow to establish. Dig in some rotted leaf matter or compost to the soil prior to planting, this extra work will be worth the effort as you see them grow and prosper.
Plant Oriental Paper Bush in a full sun to light shade position. Ensure it is sheltered from afternoon sun and hot winds. Fairly frost tolerant, to around -7C, will need to be protected from hard frost. Keep moist, especially in summer when the soil can dry out quickly on hot days and in autumn whilst the flowers are forming.
