Deutzia Magician

A superb shrub that is enveloped in flowers.

Deutzia 'The Magician' has a rounded habit with elegant, arching branches. Spring to summer this shrub is covered in panicles of strawberry pink and white, cup shaped blooms. The flowers are prolific and unusual.

Deutzia is a neat, dense, rounded deciduous shrub with mid green foliage. The foliage turns burgundy in autumn. It has an attractive trunk and branches which, like a fine wine, improve with age. As they mature, The bark peels back to reveal an orange layer.

Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, moist, well drained soil. Water to establish and keep moist in active growth. Tolerant of cold, exposed locations. Plant in a full sun to semi shade position.
