Babiana Purple Star

Bright, cyclamen purple-pink blooms. The flowers open in clusters on narrow stems. The flower stems are around 15cm tall and bloom for many weeks.

Babiana 'Purple Star' is a water wise bulb that produces long lasting flowers in vibrant, magenta purple. These hardy, bulbs are suitable for borders and mass plantings and can be left in the ground for years. So easy!

Babiana's prefer a full sun to light shade position. Water to establish, then only if rainfall is low. Allow the bulbs to remain relatively dry during dormancy. Protect from heavy frosts.

Originates in South Africa, where they are a favoured food of Baboons, from which their common name is derived; Baboon Flower.
