Scilla White Havana Lily
Clusters of white stars.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Tight, conical heads of green buds open to handsome, loose umbels of white, star shaped flowers. Each bloom is 1.5cm across and the heads are made up of 50-100 flowers.
The foliage is semi evergreen with fresh growth in autumn. Long (40-60cm), semi upright mid to deep green foliage forms a handsome rosette around the bloom. There are 5-15 leaves per bulb.
Also known as Cuban Lily, Havana Lily or Hyacinth of Peru. Scilla peruviana is actually native to Northern Africa and Mediterranean Europe. The Peru connection is for the ship the bulbs arrived to England on.
Good for naturalizing, Scilla bulbs will grow large and produce offsets. Generous with flowers and foliage they are worth planting. Plant in well drained soil in a full sun to light shade position. Under deciduous trees is also ideal. Water in well and keep moist during active growth.
Bulbs may take a season or so to settle in before flowering at their best.
