Delphinium Pink Sensation
Sensational flowers.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The dusty pink bell shaped florets open freely on tall stems summer and autumn. A well branched cultivar. An Australian bred hybrid from Dennis Norgate. A sport of the well known and loved 'Blue Sensation'. Good repeat flowering.
Plant Delphiniums in full sun to light shade. Ensure you allow good air flower between plants. Delphiniums need a cool to temperate climate to grow and perform at their best. Protect growing stems from strong winds or provide staking, a bit of extra work, but like the old saying goes, beauty is pain! And these plants are definitely beautiful. The flowers are also good for picking.
Grow Delphiniums in a humus rich, moist, well drained soil. To flower at their best they need to be fertilised well. A well rotted manure and some mulch is recommended. Delphiniums do not like to sit in water and good soil drainage is vital. Water in well, then keep moist during active growth.
Once the flower stem has finished, cut it back to just above the ground. You should have a second flush in autumn. Add fertiliser when you see the new growth.
Protect Delphiniums from slugs and snails, especially while young, they find them delicious. Also keep an eye out for powdery mildew and treat with your choice of fungicide.
