Penstemon Electric Blue

Real, gentian blue flowers. A stunning colour for beds and borders. The blooms have a slight pink blush as they age adding to the beautiful show. An easy going plant with dark, glossy leaves.

Water to establish then only if rainfall is low. Penstemon 'Electric Blue' is dry tolerant once established. Plant in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Drainage is important. Dead head regularly to encourage more flowers.
Protect these young tubestock plants from frost. Pot these Penstemon tubes on (put into bigger pots) until the threat of frost is over. They become more hardy as they establish. Then plant them out in the garden. Grow Penstemon in beds, border or containers.
