Bright red fruits that are very cute on the bush, but beware, they pack a punch! They are an impressive 40 000 to 60 000 units on the Scoville scale. They have a fruity flavour and mature from green to red.
In the garden, Chillies like it hot! Plant in a sunny spot in fertile, well drained soil. When the plants are young, pinch out the growing tips to encourage a bushy plant. Chillies also grow well in containers. In pots, use a good quality potting mix and add a liquid fertiliser every other week to keep them fruiting.
Water to establish and keep moist in active growth. Harvest your Chillies frequently, as you do more will be produced. Pick as they ripen as they don't ripen off the plant.
