Grand scarlet blooms.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The intensely scarlet red blooms jostle for attention over the foliage.
En masse, these shaggy blooms are a sight to behold. They open in profusion summer to autumn and are attractive to birds, butterflies and bees. Each flower head is around 5cm across.
The leaves are deep green and have a delicious mint fragrance. They are used medicinally and in teas. The stems are square
These cultivars have good mildew resistance. For best results, grow Monarda in moist, humus rich soils in a sunny position. Keep it moist in active growth and dead head flowers regularly to extend the bloom season. Mulch in summer to help with water retention.
Monarda are good plants for the back of borders. They are commonly known as Bergamot and Beebalm and are a member of the Mint family.
