Snow Drop Anemone
A late spring fling!
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Snowdrop Anemones bloom for weeks on end. The fabulous white flowers have a cluster of lemon yellow stamens at their centre. Each flower is around 5cm across and has a soft fragrance.
Snowdrop Anemone blooms open above the lush, deep green foliage. The show doesn't end with the blooms though, they are followed by ornamental, fluffy seed heads
The blooms of Snowdrop Anemones get their name from their buds. These emerge on bent stems and look like drops of snow over the foliage. As the buds open, the stems straighten to hold the blooms aloft.
Plant Snowdrop Anemones into moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil. Water to establish and keep moist in active growth. Add a good dose of fertiliser as the plants emerge for best flowers. Deadhead, and add some fertiliser when they are in flower and you may have a repeat bloom in early autumn. Snowdrop Anemones will tolerate full sun but grow best in part shade as they are woodland plants.
Snowdrop Anemones are great in combination with Daffodils and Bluebells, because as the bulb foliage is dying back, the Anemone foliage emerges. They can also be allowed to naturalise, forming nice clumps.
Flowers and seed heads are suitable for picking.
