Wood Anemone Pentre Pink

We love this beautiful Anemone. The pink buds unfurl to white blooms that gradually turn pinker and pinker, until they are almost mauve with a hint of rose. What a show! The blooms open for months on end.
Beautiful woodland plants that grow and flower from late spring into summer. The flowers are 3-4cm across and bloom in profusion. The emerald green foliage of Anemone 'Pentre Pink' has narrow, lobed leaflets. The leaves grow 5-12cm long.
Endemic to the woodland and mountainous areas of Europe, Anemone 'Pentre Pink' grows best in dappled light, making them perfect for a shaded garden spot. They like a soil rich in composting leaf matter that remains moist during their growth.
Plant the rhizomes of Anemone 'Pentre Pink' sideways. Water in and keep moist in active growth for best flowers.
These Anemones are also known as Windflowers or Wood Anemone. Plant Anemone 'Pentre Pink' in a rock garden, under trees and shrubs, or partly shaded beds.
