Carmine pink buds open to incredible blue flowers. The colour of the flowers intensifies as they age. The two tone effect is stunning.
The mid green leaves are strong feature of this plant. They are covered in silver 'stars' that shimmer in the suns glow.
Pulmonaria 'Little Star' is a nice and compact.
The flowers open from late winter and last for weeks on end. The more time the plants have had to establish, the earlier the flowers will open and the longer they will last.
Pulmonaria 'Little Star' grows best in bright light or morning sun where the foliage will gradually form a thick mat. A woodland plant that appreciates humus rich, moist, well drained soil. A good, low growing border pant or ground cover.
In mild climates Pulmonaria 'Little Star' will remain evergreen, in cool climates, the foliage will brown and should be removed to keep tidy.
Pulmonaria are commonly known by many names, including Lungwort, Joseph and Mary, Soldiers and Sailors and Jerusalem Cowslip.
