Bountiful, fragrant flowers open lemon, aging through apricot and pink before the day is done. While they only last a day, they make up for this in their abundance and repeat show. The fragrance is strongest in the evening. Up to five months of flowers from summer to autumn.
Evening Primrose 'Apricot Delight' can be grown in the garden or in pots. Well suited to hot dry beds. Dead head spent flowers to encourage repeat blooms.
Grow Oenothera in full sun to light shade. Very tolerant of poor soils. They thrive in hot and dry situations. They are dry tolerant once established.
Oenothera is commonly known as Evening Primrose, though the flowers open in the daylight. Try growing in rock gardens, towards the front of beds and borders, along paths or even in a pot.
