One of the best shaded ground covers.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The new leaves are gorgeous bronze with a mottled pattern, they will eventually turn green as the season progresses. The leaves are topped with large, white winged flowers with a whisper of pink. The blooms are plentiful and last well. The yellow stamens are another pretty feature of this lovely bloom.
Fairies Wings 'Arctic Wings' is a hybrid of Epimedium ogisui and Epimedium latisepalum, created by breeder Robin White.
Epimediums are clump forming rhizomatous, semi evergreen perennials native to woodland areas. They grow best in moist, humus rich, sandy soils. Plant in a part shade to bright light position.
Epimediums are good for planting beneath trees, in shaded borders, as shady ground covers or in well cared for pots.
Fertilise and mulch Epimediums in winter, they love the soil to be rich in composting leaves so don't hold back with dumping them on when they fall in autumn. Divide your Epimedium clumps every 3-5 years and don't forget to protect new foliage from slugs and snails.
Cut back your Epimedium foliage late winter or spring, to allow the new leaves and flowers to shine. Just as you would a Hellebore/Winter Rose. Epimediums are also known as Bishop's Hats and Horny Goat Weed.
