This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

Rock's Columbine is a gorgeous species Aquilegia with beautiful lavender flowers with a light red flush. The blooms open on narrow, red stems late spring to summer, a little later than most Aquilegias allowing you to extend the season.
The new foliage of Rock's Columbine has a pretty purple border that fades with the heat of summer.
Rock's Columbine, is Aquilegia rockii, named after plant explorer Joseph Rock who collected it in the mountains of China.
Aquilegias soft foliage is a beautiful foil for other plants and it develop just in time to fill in for the fading spring bulbs. The new foliage starts growing in early spring.
Aquilegia rockii is suitable for growing in a lightly shaded to morning sun position. Plant them as massed plantings, in beds or in large containers. After the initial flowering has finished, cut the stems back to the basal foliage for future blooms. Leave the last flowers of the season to form seed heads for future generations of plants.
Aquilegia should be planted in humus rich, moist, well drained soil.
