Viola ‘Lady Hume Campbell’ is noted for its sweet fragrance, free flowering and ease of care. It is perfect for tough to fill spots such as along fence lines, under trees, between pathways or under eaves.
Parma Violet ‘Lady Hume Campbell’ is named for the lady who bought this plant from Milan to England in 1875. From there it became renowned in the cut flower trade. So, not only does this plant have a long history, it remains one of the best flower produces, you will soon be filling vases with perfumed posies!
Parma Violet ‘Lady Hume Campbell’ is evergreen, the blooms can begin as early as late autumn and last right through winter and into spring. Dead head the flowers regularly to help sustain the plant.
Parma Violet ‘Lady Hume Campbell’ foliage is mid to bright green foliage that forms neat, evergreen clumps.
Plant Parma Violet ‘Lady Hume Campbell’ part shade position in humus rich, moist, well drained soil. It will tolerate more sun but you have to keep the moisture up to it. It will not tolerate humidity. Protect your plants from slugs and snails, especially whilst young. It is suitable for growing in containers and hanging baskets.
