Dipladenia Rio White

Add a touch of the tropics with these long flowering plants. The pretty flowers have the added bonus of drawing butterflies, bees and birds to your garden. The bright flowers are paired with lush, glossy foliage. Dipladenia ‘Rio White’ has stunning white blooms that just keep on coming.
These self cleaning plants will flower year round in warm climates and November to April in cooler areas. Dipladenias can be trained as standards, climbers, or you could allow their trailing stems to dangle from hanging baskets or use them as garden bedding plants. There are so many choices, it makes it easy to use a few in the garden.
In cool climates, Dipladenias are best in pots or hanging baskets as they won’t tolerate frosts. They thrive in a sunny spot, and will flower best with at least four hours a day. Plant in humus rich, moist well drained soils. In containers use a good quality potting mix. Add some fertiliser when they begin to bloom. They are very forgiving with watering, as they have tubers beneath the soil to store water that it can use during dry periods. Disease and insect resistant plants that everyone should have.
