Geranium Midnight Reiter
New in 2019.
This product is currently out of stock and unavailable.

The dynamite combination of midnight foliage and lilac blooms is hard to beat. Late spring to summer the flowers open freely and are a great drawcard for butterflies. It has a lovely cottage feel and makes for an easy edging, filler, rock garden or potted plant.
The deeply divided leaves are an emerald green with a deep red to purple wash all season long. It grows to form a soft mound of compact foliage. Give them a healthy dose of sun, for the best foliage colour, in too much shade it reverts to green.
Plant Geranium ‘Midnight Rider’ in a sunny spot into moderately fertile to humus rich soil. In warmer climates it will cope with some shade. Water in, then it becomes dry tolerant once established. A light late spring/early summer prune and a bit of fertiliser will extend the flowering season.
