Ivy Leafed Geranium Great Balls of Fire 'Dark Red'
Short delay - awaiting stock
This striking trailing cultivar offers a cascade of velvety deep red, semi-double to double flowers held above dark green, glossy ivy-type foliage. It belongs to the hardy ivy pelargonium (ivy geranium) group and is well-suited to containers, hanging baskets, window boxes, and edging beds.Flowering prolifically from spring through to autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, it tolerates heat and humidity better than many geranium types, making it a reliable performer in warm climates.
The trailing habit allows stems to spill gracefully over edges, producing a rich, floral waterfall effect. It grows to around 20–30 cm in height, with a spread of 40–60 cm or more depending on how freely the stems trail. The foliage is robust and glossy, helping offset the boldness of the flowers and providing garden structure even when not in full bloom. o get the best display, plant in full sun to part shade in well-draining soil, remove spent flowers occasionally to encourage fresh flushes, and protect from frost in colder regions. With minimal care, it delivers a long season of dramatic colour and vibrant energy to patios, balconies, and bright garden settings.
