Breathtaking blooms with silver white and deep purple flames burning up the reverse and an all lilac interior. When they like where they live they multiply well and will give you multiple blooms in a season.

The flowers are surrounded by slender, upright deep green and silver foliage.

Crocus can act as bee hotels! In the early days of winter, bees have been known to shelter in the safe harbour of the crocus blooms over night. As the petals open and close with the sun, the bees are assured of a relaxing night inside the blooms, emerging refreshed in the morning after a good night’s rest and with a nice measure of pollen.
Crocus 'Spring Beauty' grows best in Cool to Mediterranean climates where they impress in rockeries, beds, lawn plantings and pots. Plant in a sunny spot with well drained soil. Crocus will tolerate light shade, such as under deciduous trees, especially in warmer zones, but they need the sun to open their petals. They should be kept cool (by shade or mulch) in summer.
Crocus 'Spring Beauty' bulbs don't need to be lifted every year, so you can allow them to naturalise and only dig and divide as required when they become crowded after four or five years. It is a good idea to protect new growth from slugs and snails. You can fertilise your Crocus annually in winter and or spring depending on your soil.
