Liriope 'Royal Purple'

A practical and pretty new, evergreen ground cover that grows in sun and shade.
Quick to settle in and establish, the wide, strappy foliage creates a dense mound no weed would dare penetrate. In summer it is topped with lovely purple spires. Come autumn, the flowers give way to black, ornamental berries.
Utilise Liriope ‘Royal Purple’ as an edging plant, ground cover, in a container planting, embankments or massed beneath trees.
It will spread or can be divided at a restrained rate. Grow in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil, they aren’t too fussy. They can also be successful in pots, the arching foliage will grow to soften the edge of the container. They thrive on neglect and have impressive dry tolerance once established. Suitable for coastal gardens.
